Visa to enter Brazil

Guests from some nationalities may need a visa to enter Brazil. The good news is that the process can be simple and completed online, depending on your country of origin.

We recommend checking whether a visa is required for your nationality by visiting the official website of the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs or by contacting the nearest Brazilian consulate.

In general:
Citizens of the European Union, United Kingdom, and several South American countries do not need a visa for short stays (up to 90 days).

Citizens of the United States, Canada, and Australia need an electronic visa (eVisa) to enter Brazil, which can be requested online.

Important: Please make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry into Brazil. If a visa is required, we suggest applying well in advance.
